Friday Favorites

Happy Friday! It has been while since I’ve done another Friday Favorites post, so I thought this dreary day would be perfect to bring a little brightness to this corner of the internet.

February is the perfect time of the year to try new products, recipes or designs for your home. As the winter is becoming more mild in many parts of the country, hints of spring are encouraging new beginnings. As always, I’m on the lookout for finding things to support and simplify the healthy, happy and organized lifestyle that I desire! I hope you enjoy a peek into some of the newness in my life!

Favorite Recipe: I have been a fan of Trader Joe’s grocery store ever since I was introduced to their Two-Buck-Check Charles Shaw wine in college. More recently (and ironically now that I live 45 minutes away from the closest store), I have begun learning more about the different types of food that they offer. I had been wanting to try Cauliflower Stir-Fry for a while now, and was thrilled to find it at my local TJ’s. Imagine how excited I was to discover that it was actually delicious too! This is a perfect easy and quick meal on those busy weeknights — We like to add chicken to it as well!

Favorite New Product: Y’all my new Erin Condren planner finally arrived! If you watched my Instagram stories last week, I mentioned that I was looking to switch up my planner for 2018 and I want to try the hourly layout versus the vertical layouts that I have been using for the past couple of years. I just love how bright and encouraging this planner is, especially with its inspirational phrases throughout the planner. I’m still trying to get used to the vertical layout and how to make it look less “wordy”, so if any of you have used this layout before, I’d love to hear any tips you may have!

Favorite Decor: I came across this arrangement on Pinterest a few weeks ago and just haven’t been able to get it out of my head! I think this is a great transitional decor piece — the white of the cotton makes me think snow, but the eucalyptus leaves and lavender make me think spring. I’m now on the hunt for some eucalyptus so I can add this piece to our home!

Favorite Shoes: Thankfully, the weather hasn’t been too cold recently. In fact, we even made it into the 70s this week! I bought these Sperry Top Sider Espadrilles last fall but didn’t really start wearing them until more recently. With the weather not being as extreme as it has been at other points this winter, these shoes are great for warmer days when I’m just feeling ankle boots. Plus, the gold stripes just have my heart. I’m going to have to find another pair of these this year!

Favorite New Accessory: If you read my February Goals post, you might have noticed that I actually bought a new pair of glasses! These were much needed as I had my other glasses since before Jody and I started dating (that’s almost five years ago!). So back in January, I ordered sample glasses from Warby Parker to try on at home, and decided on the Chamberlain style. Now that they are in, I can’t stop wearing them!
