On June 24, 2017, Jody and I were married on the most perfect early summer day. I recapped our celebration in the following posts:
We spent our wedding morning across town from each other – I got ready with all of my favorite girls while Jody and his groomsmen visited at the hotel before arriving at the church to get ready to walk down the aisle.
We chose not to do a first look together, but I did do one with my girls and my dad. Instead, Jody and I opted to spend a moment alone, holding hands around a door, to savor these last moments before we became husband and wife.
Our ceremony was held at the Methodist church I was baptized in and my uncle, a pastor within the Methodist church, officiated the ceremony. We work hard to make our ceremony as meaningful as possible to us by choosing scripture, readings, and music that were truly reflective of our relationship and our faith.
We enjoyed getting our gorgeous portraits taken in the vineyard at our reception venue when our guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the courtyard.
Our reception details carried our southern rustic romance aesthetic through the evening. With the amount of thought I put into making each detail, I was so pleased with how it turned out!
Our reception was more than I could have ever dreamed of – it was full of so much joy and love. It was a night I’d love to live over and over again. I shared my favorite reception moments here.
I’d be remiss not to mention the breathtaking video that our videographer creates, perfectly capturing the sweetness and joy of our perfect day. You can watch our wedding video here.
