Well, it seems that once I was on board with fall happening, mother nature seemed to have its own reservations. With the 80 degree temperatures that we have been having as of late, and the mild sunburn (what!?) I got last weekend, I have to look at the calendar to make sure that it is really October. So even if it doesn’t feel like fall just yet, I still want to make the inside of our home feel just as cozy as it would with the chill in the air.

As I’ve been in the process of adding more decor to our apartment, I’ve been gathering some ideas of ways to easily cozy up our home for the colder months. I already have some candles that add the fall spice scent to the house, but am in need of a few more statement pieces that will really bring it all together. I’ve gathered up a couple of images to inspire me as I’m out and about!

This year, I’m trying to gather a few key pieces that will help achieve the cozy, fall look that I desire, while also staying budget conscious. Throw blankets are my favorite — there is nothing I love more than to be curled up on the couch under a cozy blanket. So I definitely am hoping to find a new throw to add to my collection. I also love farmer’s markets, and they always seems to have plenty of mini pumpkins for sale, which makes cheap, easy decor that you can style just about anywhere in your house. To round it all out, I’m hoping to either find or DIY a sign to hang in our living room with some sort of fall quote or saying written on it. I love the idea of collecting just a few items to give the space an updated feel!
