Happy Fourth of July!

Happy Fourth of July, y’all! This is one of my favorite holidays, second to Christmas. I’m an American girl, through and through, and not much is more appealing to me than a little red, white and blue. This year, Jody and I are hosting a little backyard cookout for my family, which is the first 4th of July celebration we’ve hosted, other than a little shindig we threw back in college. I’m excited for an afternoon of yard games, grilling out, and maybe a lighting a few sparklers in the evening!

In honor of the holiday weekend, I wanted to share a little of the causal, but festive inspiration I’ve been using to get in the spirit for the holiday! A lot of these ideas can be replicated with your everyday items around your home. Personally, I swapped out my gingham plates on our dining table for solid white plates, added a USA banner to our boxwood wreath, added festive paper straws and cocktail napkins to our bar cart, and added a few American flags in our most used areas of the house. Just a few touches of red, white, and blue is all you need for a patriotic celebration!

What are your plans for this 4th of July Weekend? Wishing you and yours a safe and happy 4th! Happy Birthday America!
