It’s love season, y’all! I live for celebrations, especially creating extra magic surrounding each holiday. While I, too, will admit that Valentine’s Day is a great excuse for big box stores to make some extra sales, I am a hopeless romantic at heart, leaving me a bit of a sucker for February 14th.
I’m excited that Valentine’s Day falls on a weekend this year – a long weekend at that! It gives me more time to make a fun and festive memory for the girls. While Delaney is still a little too young to remember, I hope the tradition of celebrating my little loves will be the start of a bigger part of their identity.
Each Valentine’s Day, I like to curate a small selection of gifts for each of the girls to receive. I keep it pretty simple – crinkle paper in a basket I already own, something sweet, and two or three practical gifts, usually including a new book. I also like to write each of them a card, with reminders of how much I love them!
As I perused the internet for a couple of extra finds for their baskets, I thought I’d share some ideas with y’all, in case you are looking to make this Valentine’s Day extra sweet!

Ruffle Sleeper | Wooden Lacing Toy | Heart Magnatiles | Heart Stuffy | Heart Wood Painting Activity |
Red Heart Tumbler | ABC of Love Board Book | Smocked Dress
I do love compiling surprises, but that’s not really the point. The memory of their mama being present, making a heart-shaped craft or pink sprinkle treats together, will long outlast any of these little baskets. I hope it helps to establish their worth, so that one day, when they are grown, they can confidently say that they are loved and they are worthy of love. It also sets the bar high for their future husbands 😉 A mama’s heart is always at work!
I hope you feel so loved this Valentine’s Day!
