This week, we are headed on our first family vacation as a party of three! We are spending a few days on Cape Cod before trading in the beach for the city and will wrap our trip up in Boston. I’ve only been to Boston for a few hours and have never been to the Cape so I’m so eager to explore a new place. Of course, I am trying to keep my expectations to a minimum considering we are traveling with a one-year-old!

One of my favorite parts of a trip is planning out what outfits to wear. I love for my style to complement the location and fortunately, New England style is quite easy! I’m channeling lots of neutrals and stripes for the next few days.

I’m having a linen moment this summer hence these linen shorts and this romper. Admittedly, I bought this romper earlier this summer, but never found a time to wear it, so vacation seems like as good of a time as any! I also love this striped linen dress from Target, and it’s the perfect aesthetic for the cape!

I know we will be doing lots of walking, so I trust my favorite white sneakers to get us through. Of course, I could never pass up the opportunity to pack my Jacks, especially considering we are in Jackie O. territory!

The forecast is predicted to be a bit cooler than I’m used to as we head into September, so I packed some layering options like this maxi dress, distressed denim, and sweater tanks. However, don’t be surprised if you see me with a new Cape Cod crewneck. “A sweatshirt will take up too much room in my suitcase” might just be an excuse so I can buy a new one! I also am optimistically packing my swimsuit, although I’m prepared to not actually wear it.
